Elmangos ventures studio is launching the world’s first Islamic Economy Startup Digital Incubator at GIEEC on May 11th 2017. A 5-week startup digital accelerator open to all small businesses, startups and freelancers connected to the Islamic economy globally. We aim to help accelerate 100 companies to market each year. We provide intensive training, demo day and provide a capital investment to our top 3 startups.
After a successful, premiere global gathering for entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs in the Islamic Economy, Global Islamic Economy Entrepreneurship Convention(formerly M Powered Summit 2017) will continue to fulfill it’s vision to become the largest young entrepreneurship platform in the global Islamic Economy and beyond. Daud Vicary Abdullah is the President and Chief Executive Officer of INCEIF, The Global University of Islamic Finance. He has been in the finance and consulting industry for almost 40 years, with significant experience in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Since 2002, he has focused exclusively on Islamic finance where he has contributed to a number of books on the subject and has co-authored a book on Islamic finance entitled “Islamic Finance: Why it makes sense.” He is also a frequent speaker and commentator on matters relating to Islamic finance. He is a Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP), a Distinguished Fellow of the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Malaysia (IBFIM) and a former Board member (2003 – 2007) of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). Prior to INCEIF, he was the Global Islamic Finance Leader with Deloitte. He was also previously Acting CEO of Asian Finance Bank, an Islamic bank based in Malaysia, and Managing Director of Hong Leong Islamic Bank.
Faeez Fadhlillah is the CEO and Co-founder of Tripfez, an innovative , state of the art travel portal dedicated to the rise of global Muslim travelers.
Named as one of Forty Individuals Who Shaped Southeast Asian E-Commerce By EcommerceIQ, Faeez is also an avid speaker at many international travel conferences and seminars and currently chairs the R&D committee of the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA). Faeez was elected as Vice President of MATTA, Malaysia’s largest travel association for the term 2015 -2017.
Faeez was named 30 under 30 by Forbes magazine in 2016, 40 Under 40 by Prestige, Top 10 Young Entrepeneur Rising by Top 10, People To Watch 2016 by TTG as well as the Most Innovative Young Leaders Award 2016 by UCSI,
Heading the brand of Tripfez and Salam Standard, Faeez advocates the concept of localizing the travel experience through information enabling travellers to make an informed decision. He has been featured in major publication including BBC, CNBC, Forbes, TTG, etc.
Faeez works very closely with various Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) to promote the concept of localization of travel an inclusive travel experience. Faeez graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honors from the School of Engineering.
